1️⃣ TERMS & CONDITIONS – CERTIFICATION
1. Scope
These Terms govern institutional certification services provided by CIFA within the CIFA Certification System.
2. Application
Certification requires formal application via the Application Process.
Submission does not guarantee approval.
3. Evaluation
CIFA evaluates institutions according to defined standards and governance principles.
CIFA retains full discretion regarding approval, conditional approval or rejection.
4. Validity
Certification is granted for a defined period and may require renewal or review.
Ongoing compliance is mandatory.
5. Use of Certification
Certified institutions may use the certification designation according to CIFA guidelines.
Misuse may result in suspension or withdrawal.
6. Fees
Certification may be subject to institutional fees defined in the individual proposal.
Fees are non-refundable once evaluation has commenced.
7. Suspension or Revocation
Certification may be suspended or revoked in case of:

breach of standards
-
misleading representation
-
non-compliance
-
non-payment
8. Liability
CIFA shall be liable only in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
9. Governing Law
Swiss law shall apply.
Place of jurisdiction: Switzerland.
2️⃣ TERMS & CONDITIONS – CIFA COMMENDATION
1. Scope
These Terms govern the granting and use of the CIFA Commendation.
2. Application
The Commendation must be formally requested through the Application Process.
Granting remains at CIFA’s discretion.
3. Annual Contribution
The right to display the Commendation is subject to an annual institutional contribution.
Use remains valid only while contributions are maintained.
4. Usage
The Commendation may be used only in accordance with CIFA branding guidelines.
It may not be modified, transferred or sublicensed.
5. Withdrawal
CIFA may withdraw the Commendation in case of:

non-payment
-
ethical breach
-
reputational misconduct
-
misuse
6. No Guarantee
The Commendation does not constitute a guarantee of regulatory approval or commercial performance.
7. Liability
CIFA shall not be liable for third-party claims arising from misuse.
8. Governing Law
Swiss law applies.
Jurisdiction: Switzerland.
3️⃣ TERMS & CONDITIONS – INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP & INDUSTRY COOPERATION
1. Scope
These Terms govern institutional membership and cooperation within the CIFA framework.
Membership does not constitute certification or commendation.
2. Admission
Admission requires formal review and approval by CIFA.
CIFA may refuse admission without justification.
3. Obligations
Members agree to:

respect CIFA standards
-
use designations responsibly
-
avoid misleading communication
4. Contributions
Membership or cooperation may require institutional contributions as defined in the proposal.
Non-payment may result in suspension.
5. Termination
Membership may be terminated by written notice.
CIFA may terminate immediately in case of serious breach.
6. No Influence
Membership or cooperation does not grant influence over certification or governance decisions.
7. Liability
Liability is limited to intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Governing Law
Swiss law applies.
