The World Cosmetics Association is the body that supports the cosmetics industry for the benefit of all the professions integrated into it. Open and transparent for its members, it provides worldwide support, bundled in the worldwide competence centers.
CIFA (World Federation) qualifies the cosmetics industry in every respect globally, networked, competent, open and pioneering. As part of its vision to promote cosmetics globally, the association makes a decisive contribution to consolidating the quality of the cosmetics industry.
The aim is to have national associations on all continents that support members and users at the highest level.
Distinction from certification
The CIFA Commendation is not an automatic consequence of certification.

While certification represents structural classification and recognition within the CIFA system, commendation acknowledges an exceptional institutional attitude and impact that goes beyond the basic requirements.

Procedure and institutional classification

Recognition is contingent upon ongoing institutional affiliation and an annual contribution that enables the use and visibility of the commendation within the respective institutional context.

The award is granted after review and evaluation by CIFA and is contingent upon ongoing compliance with the underlying standards, principles and governance requirements.
