Governance

Institutional Structure, Responsibility and Oversight

Governance as an institutional responsibility

Governance describes the organizational, structural, and ethical foundations on which CIFA's work is based.

As an international non-profit organization, CIFA pursues a governance approach based on independence, transparency, and institutional accountability. Its goal is to ensure long-term credibility, stability, and international acceptance.

Organizational structure

CIFA's organizational structure is designed to ensure clear responsibilities, transparent decision-making processes, and a clean separation between strategic direction and operational implementation.

CIFA works with defined bodies and functions that jointly ensure the institutional orientation, the content frameworks, and compliance with ethical and organizational principles.

Decision-making processes

Decisions within CIFA are made based on clearly defined procedures and taking into account institutional, professional and ethical criteria.

Particular emphasis is placed on:

  • Traceability of decisions

  • Independence from individual economic interests

  • Consistency with mission, standards and long-term goals

Supervision and control

CIFA ensures, through appropriate governance mechanisms, that its activities are in accordance with the defined frameworks, standards and ethical guidelines.

Supervision and control do not serve operational management, but rather to ensure institutional integrity and the long-term quality of the organization.

Ethics and integrity

Integrity is a central component of CIFA's governance.

The organization commits to:

  • ethical conduct

  • responsible decision-making

  • respectful handling of cultural, professional and regulatory diversity

Ethical principles form the basis for all activities, collaborations and recognition processes within the CIFA system.

International integration

CIFA operates in an international environment and takes into account different legal, cultural and organizational frameworks.

The governance structure enables international cooperation without undermining national responsibilities or specificities. The aim is a balanced relationship between global orientation and national autonomy.

Good governance builds trust.
Trust creates stability.
