THE ASSOCIATION


The association arose from the need to support and promote the cosmetics industry and all resulting training and further education and to further develop the cosmetics industry worldwide to uniform standards.

The World Cosmetics Association is the body that supports the cosmetics industry for the benefit of all the professions integrated into it. Open and transparent for its members, it provides worldwide support, bundled in the worldwide competence centers. 


CIFA (World Federation) qualifies the cosmetics industry in every respect globally, networked, competent, open and pioneering. As part of its vision to promote cosmetics globally, the association makes a decisive contribution to consolidating the quality of the cosmetics industry.


The aim is to have national associations on all continents that support members and users at the highest level.

Tasks and responsibilities

CIFA Ambassadors support the work of CIFA through their professional expertise, institutional experience, and presence in relevant contexts.

​

Their duties include, in particular:

  • Representation of CIFA in professional, institutional and public contexts

  • Promoting CIFA's mission, standards and values

  • Supporting dialogue between national and international actors

  • Contribution to the international visibility and classification of CIFA

Selection and mandate

 

CIFA Ambassadors are appointed based on clearly defined institutional criteria.

Among other things, the following are taken into account:

  • professional qualifications and experience

  • institutional integrity

  • Compliance with CIFA's ethical guidelines

  • Ability to represent responsibly

 

The ambassador mandate is time-limited and tied to defined tasks and responsibilities.

Demarcation and neutrality

 

CIFA Ambassadors act independently of individual commercial interests.

The role does not involve sales, brokering, or consulting functions. Ambassadors represent CIFA's institutional interests and always act within the framework of applicable governance and ethical principles.

International significance

​

The ambassador structure enables CIFA to have a differentiated, culturally sensitive and credible presence in different countries and regions.

​

It supports international cooperation without overriding central structures or replacing national responsibilities.
